一條炸香蕉從6毛錢星幣漲到一塊錢（約23.18元台幣），兩個咖哩泡芙從不到一塊錢漲價到一塊兩毛錢。新加坡人感受到了通貨膨脹，但沒想到10年前的10塊錢，現在只值8.17元。
